Financial Management Services

The Financial Management Services section provides services required to support the agency in achieving its mission. This section is responsible for complying with fiscal policies and procedures that apply to the agency; establishing proper controls and ensuring documentation requirements are met to protect the public’s assets; processing payments to vendors for goods or services received and appropriate reimbursements for employees’ required travel and other expenditures; and managing accounts receivable.  The section also certifies the accuracy of the Department payroll; develops and monitors the agency budget in conjunction with the Director, Secretary of Public Safety and Department of Planning and Budget (DPB); prepares and submits capital outlay project requests to DPB and reports on the progress of all such projects and resulting expenditures; reports on performance measures each quarter, and coordinates the review and revision of the agency’s annual strategic plan.
