The Department of Forensic Science will be offering a four hour-long training on DUI/DUID to criminal attorneys and judges in Virginia.
This course is designed to provide attorneys and judges with background information regarding the practices and methods of toxicology and breath alcohol and the underlying principles related to the effects of alcohol and drugs on driving. A draft curriculum can be found here.
The training will be offered from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. as follows:
- Friday, Sept. 27, 2019 – DFS Central Laboratory (Richmond)
- Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 – DFS Eastern Laboratory (Norfolk) and DFS Western Laboratory (Roanoke)
- Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 – DFS Northern Laboratory (Manassas)
There will be no registration fee for this training, and no CLE credits will be offered.
