Impression Evidence Photography, Collection & Preservation for Crime Scene Investigators - Roanoke, VA 05/22/2018

This course is designed to introduce crime scene investigators to techniques for locating, photographing and recovering three dimensional and two dimensional impression evidence during a systematic approach to a crime scene investigation. Students will be given hands-on exercises in photography, casting and lifting techniques.

The Department of Forensic Science will supply ALL necessary equipment to complete the course.

There will be some time spent outdoors completing hands-on exercises, please dress appropriately for potential cold weather.

This course will be limited to 12 students and is restricted to personnel from Virginia law enforcement agencies.

The course will be taught by the Forensic Training Section at the Virginia Department of Forensic Science’s Western Laboratory location at 6600 Northside High School Road, Roanoke, VA, beginning at 8:30 A.M. each day.
